Capt. Henry Moore, of Portsmouth, R.I., married Ann Odiorne. The Old Sable Works was established in 1809 by Capt. Henry Moore, on an island in Chester Creek, at Rockdale. The Odiorne family owned the nail-works as well as the adjoining iron-works in Aston Twp. The iron-works property, along with the nail-works, were sold to Moore by George Odiorne in 1815.
